There are a few key important things that you have to learn before you can truly become successful online. One of them is getting a good mindset and truly understanding your why so you never lose that focus. The next is learning how to gather and create and reciprocate content around the Web. The third and what this article is about is traffic. And finally developing that relationship with that traffic you generate.
Without traffic you cannot have sales. You can have the most impressive lucrative best product on the market but if you don’t have anybody to show it to or sell it to you will never make the sale. All your efforts and strategies will go to waste without traffic. But not just any traffic, you want to have laser targeted traffic with people who are interested in what you have to offer. You need to set up individual funnels for each product where the advertising is congruent with the opt-in that is congruent with the follow-up e-mails and most importantly congruent with the product that you’re trying to sell.
Well what I want to talk about today is basically the 3 different types of traffic out there.
The first type of traffic which is also one of the most highly sought after and most difficult to obtain is traffic you don’t control. What I mean by don’t control is organic traffic which can be found in the search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing. You also have the viral traffic which can be found from all the different social networks with your activities and interaction within these communities. And then you also have your human interaction where somebody simply likes your content and decides to share it, talk about it in the forums, or posted on their website for their readers. Traffic that is organically generated should only be sent directly to a blog. If not a blog then a website that delivers value, but not in opt in page. You want to have a central hub set up that brands you as individual or business and gives the reader the value they were looking for. Only after should you direct them to an opt in page to gather their E-mail. Once you have the e-mail nurture them with follow-up contact set up through an autoresponder.
The second type of traffic is traffic you control. Traffic you control is traffic such as pay per click, using Facebook or Google. It’s also all of your pay per view campaigns set up through YouTube. All of your solo ad campaigns as well as all of your content funnel marketing campaigns. Traffic you control or paid traffic is traffic you should only send and always send to an opt in page. Because this is paid traffis you want a good return on investment. That is to get them on your list. Your list is the most important thing that you need to work at trying to develop it as large as you can and as quickly as you can.
The third and final type of traffic is traffic that you own. This if you haven’t figured out by now is the traffic and people on your list. You filtered out all the tire kickers nurtured the people who were interested in the value that you give and develop a relationship with your following. This is the best type of traffic that you can own or get. They are very receptive to you and what you have to offer and are ready to listen and consume whatever you send their way. With traffic you own you can send them to whatever opt in page, sales video, webinar or whatever offer you choose. When you hear the expression the money is in the list, this is partially true. The big money is in the follow-up e-mails and the relationship that you built with that list.
