TIP #1 – Have Personality:

One of the best kept secrets of Internet marketing is the secret of personality. Men and women who have the most attractive and fascinating personalities never have to worry about leads.

They attract more leads than they can handle!

But this doesn’t mean that you should “fake” your personality. Simply the opposite. Refuse to hide behind excuses like “this isn’t professional” or “what would they think of me?” Get out there and be yourself!

Because NOBODY likes dealing with robots and cranky-pants “holier than thou” so-called business “professionals”.


TIP #2 – Be “Picture” Perfect:

You really need to spend some time uploading profiles pictures, family pictures, lifestyle pictures, dream pictures, and credibility pictures. This is probably the most overlooked part of everybody’s profile – including my own!

I’m not going to break down the types of pictures you should upload because the truth is, it depends on who you are and what you want to accomplish with your pictures.

But above all, don’t be afraid to show the world who you really are.


TIP #3 – Tell Your Story:

Most people get lazy when it comes to setting up their Social Media profiles. I mean, they write two sentences and give up. Well, that’s a bad idea, because people only buy from people they know, like, and trust.

Which means, you better give your prospects reason to trust you and tell them your life story so that they know you’re a real human being with real challenges who keeps on moving on and learning every day.


TIP #4 – Hook, Line, And Sinker:

You have to “hook” everybody who visits your profile and get them to read it for more information about you. So don’t be afraid to share interesting, weird, or even wacky facts about your life or the things you’ve done.

If you’re a sincerely boring person (and I doubt that you are) then you really need to get out there and have some fun in real life so you can share it with your new online Social Media friends.

You know, people are looking for guidance and a little diversion from their painful problems and dreary routines. So fill that void and be the shining “light” in their lives. They’ll thank you with their wallets.


TIP #5 – You Tell, You Sell:

One of the oldest saying in advertising is: “The more you tell, the more you sell” and this is 100% true when it comes to writing your “Magnetic Profile”.

Make sure you fill out every section of your profile: Your interests, activities, favorite authors, and favorite quotes.

You know, I can’t emphasize this enough because even a single shared interest with your prospects or a favorite author can earn their trust instantly…


TIP #6 – Tell Me More:

Here’s another “biggie”.

I can’t believe it when somebody leaves this step out. But you should always tell people where they can go to get more information about you, your opportunity and what you do.

Now, the best place to send your prospects and web traffic is to your personal website or blog where they can get more information about you.

But some people think they’re clever and they send people to “capture pages” that have no information and only ask for names and e-mails instead.


TIP #7 – Keep A Date With Updates:

Last but not least, make sure you keep your profile status, links, and other sections up-to-date by coming back at least once a week….

At the very least, respond to all guest book entries and any friendly personal messages you get over time.

Because nobody bothers with profiles that are lifeless and haven’t been updated since the paleolithic stone age…
